Argentina squad holds training session in Barcelona

first_imgBarcelona, June 2: The Argentine national football team on Saturday trained at FC Barcelona’s sports city, in a session that combined physical exercise with ball training. The session was led by coach Jorge Sampaoli and included all 23 players of the squad. Midfielder Paulo Dybala, in a statement published by the Argentine Football Association, said the team is very happy to train in Barcelona, the professional home of Argentina star Lionel Messi. With just two weeks left until Argentina’s opening match of the 2018 FIFA World Cup against Iceland, Dybala said his team is focused on what is coming and on giving their all in every training session. The Juventus player also highlighted the quality of Barcelona’s facilities, saying that the training camp is being held under optimal conditions. Other Sports Rishabh Pant, Bajrang Punia, and other sports personalities win DSJA awards

first_img New Delhi: Asian Games gold medal-winning wrestler Bajrang Punia, women’s hockey player Rani Rampal, Test cricketer Rishabh Pant and pistol prodigy Manu Bhaker won this year’s Delhi Sports Journalists Association’s (DSJA) Best Sportspersons awards here Thursday. NEW SOUTH WALES STATE CUP CELEBRATES 30 YEARS

first_img188 Teams will make the annual pilgrimage to Tuffins Lane in Port Macquarie 1-3 December 2006 for the 30th New South Wales Touch Association (NSWTA) State Cup. The 2006 NSWTA State Cup will be contested across 15 divisions with entries received from 53 affiliates State wide.This year sees the Men’s and Women’s 20 Years Divisions return to the tournament schedule.A Division Two section in the respective Men’s and Women’s Open will be contested for the first time in the 30 year history of the esteemed event which combines the best of competitive and social atmospheres the sport has to offer. Over 230 Referees will be travelling to Port Macquarie to officiate in 552 games over three days of fast and furious action.The showcase event has a rich and proud history and is Australia’s biggest and most popular adult Touch tournament of its kind.To ensure the tournament runs smoothly, NSWTA Staff  will be supported by the Port Macquarie Volunteers Organisation, and additional NSW Touch volunteers.Pool games commence at 9.00am on Friday 1 December and recommence at 8.00am on Saturday 2 December, with Quarter finals commencing on Sunday 3 December at 8.35am. RCMP role in First Nation debated after man shot by officer
