first_imgCopenhagen, Denmark comes in at number four Travel agency specialist Flight Centre in New Zealand has released its top ten destinations across the globe for 2012 with special packages to match.Sitting at number one is Hawaii, where according to flight centre an increasing number of New Zealanders are taking advantage of cheap flights to the US and using the island as a stopover connection to Los Angeles and San Francisco,London came in at number two, with the 2012 Olympic and Paralympics’ Games on around the middle of next year, Flight Centre warns tickets and accommodation are filling fast.Nha Trang Vietnam, which ranks among the top beaches in Vietnam, offers plenty of sunshine and activities for the beach loving traveller, makes number three.Dubbed as one of Europe’s coolest green cities, Denmark come in at number four while Italy’s Amalfi Coast makes number five.It appears New Zealanders can’t get enough of the big apple with New York coming in sixth place and Arugam Bay Sri Lanka, which is famous for its excellent surfing conditions, comes in at number seven.Number eight is Zadar in Croatia, popular for its architectural heritage and Renaissance movement.Coming in at number nine is South America, with Argentina set to join New Zealand, Australia and South Africa in what has previously been known as the Tri Nations Rugby Tournament, interest from Kiwi’s to the destination is picking up.Tasmania is the top ten destination for 2012, according to Tourism Tasmania, around 310,000 Australians visit Tasmania each year.Flight centre reports that an increasing number of Kiwi’s are taking notice of its coastal landscapes and gourmet food and wine.
